The meeting of the headquarters on the situation in the domestic oil products market was chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the government press service reported on July 29.
The participants discussed the current situation on the oil products market, the conditions for their transportation by rail, as well as the supply of fuel to agricultural producers.
The Energy Secretariat reported that fuel prices in the retail segment remain stable and there is no shortage. The domestic market is fully supplied with gasoline and diesel.
Alexander Novak has instructed the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service to monitor the dynamics of fuel prices at the pumps and for agricultural producers, as well as the balance of refining margins. The goal is to prevent fuel costs from exceeding the inflation rate. Oil companies have been advised to increase the use of refineries during the season of high gasoline demand.
The Deputy Prime Minister also instructed to develop measures to prevent the export of grey fuel, including through the EAEU countries, to consider the supply of tank fleets to enterprises and the timely replacement of damaged containers. Novak also proposed to ensure the regularity and uniformity of gasoline and diesel sales on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange and their timely delivery to customers.
Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service sent a request to vertically integrated oil companies to provide information on the economic justification for the increase in the wholesale price of AI-95 gasoline. The companies will have until July 31 to do so.
Let us recall that a vertically integrated oil company is a holding company. A company of this type organizationally unites companies along the entire technological production chain.
