Channels of dialogue between Austria and Russia still exist, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said in an interview with ORF television on July 29.
“We have channels for dialogue. I am one of the most active supporters of the existence of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the OSCE. We must use this platform. You cannot just go and destroy all the bridges.”said the minister.
At the same time, the minister noted that there is currently not enough preparation in Moscow for a serious dialogue, which is why it is important for Europe to establish contacts with India, China and Brazil, countries that have significant influence on Russia.
It should be recalled that earlier the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russia accepted statements from the chambers of the Federal Assembly on the suspension of Russia’s participation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
