Floating pontoons for passenger hydrofoils have been installed in the cities of Rostov-on-Don and Azov, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Rostov region reported on July 30.
“Modern floating pontoons, designed and built at Don enterprises, were installed in Rostov-on-Don and Azov within a few days of each other”the message said.
The Valdai 45R and Meteor 120R vessels will be moored at the floating berths, which have a length of 30 metres.
It should be noted that passenger sea transport is being revived in the Rostov region. This year the Valdai began sailing along the Don. It serves two routes: Rostov-on-Don – Azov – Rostov-on-Don and Rostov-on-Don – Bagaevskaya st. – Semikarakorsk – Bagaevskaya st. – Rostov-on-Don.
In the future, it is planned to develop river transport, as well as launch sea flights on Meteors.
