Residents of the village of Slinkino in the Primorsky Territory have been cut off from the “mainland” for about a week, without electricity, communications or drinking water, Vl.ru reported on July 30.
The district chief said that medicines, basic necessities and hygiene products were sent to the residents by helicopter, but it is currently impossible to reach them, as rain and wind prevent the teams from reaching them. According to him, the crossing will probably take place on July 31.
Let us recall that the village of Slinkino began to suffer from the weather conditions since the beginning of July, the rains filled the rivers, overflowing the roads, isolating the village from the mainland.
The situation was repeated on 25 July, but traffic was never restored.
A resident of the village, Natalya Mikhailovna, contacted the governor and told him that people had been sitting for seven days without electricity, without communication, without water and drinking rainwater. She asked for attention.
The governor replied that he was aware of the current situation, that there was no communication or access in Romanovsky Klyuch, Slinkino and Partizan.
“A helicopter was flying overhead and they were delivering food. The situation is under control. It is impossible to get there yet. The Partizanskaya River is still rising. The recent rains have made the situation worse.”said the head of the region.
After the call, I called the district chief again and asked for the latest information.
Alexander Stepanov said that “On Saturday we managed to contact Slinkino and brought essential items and food products”.
The water, he said, was not delivered because people have wells and there was no request.
“As for electricity, representatives of the DRSC will be arriving tomorrow with our specialists. In the village of Romanovsky Klyuch we managed to have electricity for a short period. But again, there was rain and strong winds. Somewhere there was a break again. Tomorrow we will go, look at everything and fly by helicopter. We are delivering fuel, medicines, baby food and diapers to the people of Slinkino.”– said Stepanov.
He also promised to bring food, fuel and, if necessary, water on July 31.
It is currently unknown when communication will be fully restored, as a new storm is expected to begin in the coming days.
