Former Porto player Radamel Falcao, now a player for Colombian club Millionarios, missed last weekend’s game and the reason is now known.
The footballer’s five children, wife and relatives were poisoned by a carbon monoxide leak and were hospitalized. Lorelei Taron, Falcao’s wife, explained the situation on Instagram: “What happened was we turned on a heater that didn’t have a plug and the carbon monoxide poisoned us all. It was many hours after we turned it on and we thought the smell was normal. 10 minutes later, Jedi (one of the children) got sick and threw up. The smell was so strong and the cleaning lady started yelling at us to get outside.”
The wife concluded: “We had very strong symptoms. My mother and my three children developed symptoms such as vomiting and headaches. Thank God, nothing serious happened.”
The former Colombian national team player thanked the clinic for its attention, where his family was hospitalized: “I want to express My deepest gratitude to Marly de Chia Clinic for the excellent care my family received during their stay at the clinic.”
