The water level in the Iriklinsky reservoir in the Orenburg region has risen 21 centimeters above the unfavorable level in Orsk, the city’s acting mayor Artem Vorobyov reported on his Telegram channel on July 30.
Vorobyov wrote that the Iriklinsky reservoir has increased its flow rate, which will be 290 cubic meters per second tomorrow.
“This is due to the rainfall in the upper reaches of the Urals and the filling of the rivers that flow into the reservoir. In Orsk, the level of the Urals at night is 381 centimetres. A small rise, a few centimetres. But we understand that the consequences of the rise will be felt in Orsk.”said the acting mayor of Orsk.
He stressed that all the trenches of the dam were inspected today.
Please note that the river level in the Orsk region is considered unfavorable starting from 360 centimeters. Thus, the water level exceeded the unfavorable level by 221 centimeters.
