The size of the regional maternity capital in Adygea has been doubled and reached 100 thousand rubles for families with a third and subsequent child, and new financial support has been introduced for young mothers under 26 years of age, the press service of the government of the republic reported on July 28.
The changes adopted by the deputies of the Council of State – Hase introduce adjustments to the legislation in the interests of families with three or more children and young mothers.
From January 1, 2025, the lump sum payment for the third and subsequent children will increase from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles. In addition, it was decided to provide 25,000 rubles for the birth of the first and second child to women under 26 years of age.
These measures were adopted within the framework of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation and are aimed at strengthening the institution of the family in the Year of the Family.
The innovations will lead to an increase in regional budget expenditures by approximately 54.3 million rubles. An analysis of demographic indicators showed a decrease in the birth rate among women in the age category of 19-25 years, which became the basis for introducing a new lump-sum payment.
In the framework of support for families with children, the number of which in Adygea exceeds 53,000, including more than 8,600 large families, about 5.5 billion rubles were allocated last year.
This year, the amount of funding is planned to be increased to over 6.4 billion rubles, thereby continuing the implementation of the national project “Demography”.
