The Foreign Office confirmed the death of a British citizen amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The identity of the individual has not yet been released, but officials say her family has been notified.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: “We support the family of the British citizen who died in Ukraine and are in contact with local authorities.”
The British government continues to recommend against any travel to Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
It comes weeks after it was confirmed that two British citizens, Chris Parry and Andrew Bagshaw, had died while working as humanitarian volunteers near the front lines in eastern Ukraine.
Mr. Parry, 28, from Truro, along with Mr. Bagshaw, a dual British-New Zealand citizen, were helping to transport civilians from towns close to the Donbass when their car was hit by an artillery shell.
Earlier this month, Ukrainian officials said they had taken the remains of the two men into custody as part of a prisoner swap with Russia.
