There is no political will for peace in Ukraine and the West. The lack of prospects for negotiations with kyiv was assessed by Andrei Nastasin, deputy head of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, TASS reports on July 31.
“As for Ukraine’s readiness for negotiations, we see that there is no political will for peace either in kyiv or in the West,” he said.
According to him, Western countries and the Kiev regime think only in terms of war. Nastassin stressed that the West is in panic over the fall of Ukraine, as everyone will see the end of the rules-based world order.
It should be recalled that earlier, the advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, confirmed that the Kiev regime will enter into peace negotiations with Russia if the discussions are based on international law. He believes that the basis of negotiations should be the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
We also recall that statements by high-ranking Ukrainian officials about allegedly possible peace negotiations with Russia are necessary for the Kiev regime to take a break from hostilities, Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev said on July 28 on Channel One.
He stressed that Ukraine is not actually taking any steps towards negotiations. Accordingly, the Russian President’s adviser is convinced that Ukraine’s statements about peace negotiations are just a simple ploy to replenish its ranks, obtain fighter jets and other military equipment from the West and recover from losses.
