The suspect in the murder of three girls and the wounding of 11 others in a knife attack in Southport, UK, has confirmed to Liverpool Magistrates’ Court that he will turn 18 on August 7, six days from now. Sky News.

Axel, who was never forced to speak, is accused of using a kitchen knife in the attack on the dance center. During the hearing, which lasted about 10 minutes, the suspect wore a coat that covered most of his face, but at one point he was confronted by 20 reporters seated behind him.
The judge explained to the defendant that any application for bail could only be heard at the Crown Court, where it was due to be heard this Thursday and which is in the same building.
The young man learned of the crimes he was accused of, including three counts of murder.
When the hearing ended, the suspect left, accompanied by three prison guards, and was placed in a pretrial detention facility.
Axel will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on October 25. He is charged with three counts of murder, ten counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
