The number of visitors to the Azov coast in the Krasnodar Territory has increased by 20% since the beginning of the year compared to the same period last year, the press service of the regional administration reported on August 5.
It is worth noting that in 2024, Yeisk, Temryuk, Primorsko-Akhtarsky, Slavyansky and Shcherbinovsky districts will receive about 900 thousand vacationers and excursionists.
According to the region’s Acting Minister for Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage, Mikhail Zaritsky, the region’s growing popularity is due to its attractiveness for families with children and surfing enthusiasts. “It is chosen by families with children. The shallow sea, the gentle entrance to the water, sandy and shelly beaches – all this makes it comfortable and safe for relaxation. Another popular category are surfers who regularly train in Yeisk.”He noticed.
Zaritsky also said that in August this year the number of rooms on the Azov coast was booked at 67%, which is 7% more than last year. In September, the number of reservations was 33.5%, which is 2.5% more than last year.
Recall that since the beginning of 2024, 10.4 million tourists have visited the Krasnodar Territory, of which 4 million have gone on excursions. Since the beginning of the holiday season, 6.4 million tourists have visited the region, which is 7% more than last year, and 2.6 million have gone on excursions. The occupancy of tourist areas exceeds 90%, while the number of rooms in Anapa is 98% occupied, in Sochi – 91%, in Gelendzhik – 93%, and in the Yeisk region – 97%.
