The delay in border crossings among cargo transport booked in the electronic queue for departure from Russia to Lithuania at the Chernyshevskoye international checkpoint has reached 151 hours, according to data published on August 5 in the corresponding Telegram channel for monitoring operational information.
“At 22:00 at the Chernyshevskoye checkpoint there were about 100 trucks lined up in front of the checkpoint and 9 heavy trucks in the storage area. We passed through the ACP in the previous hour – 0 cars. ️ The gap from the reserved time is 151 hours,” – the message said.
It is noted that the passage of transport from the neighbouring state is limited. Nearby vehicles in the queue have reserved their passage time for July 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please note that there are four checkpoints on the border with the Kaliningrad region, two of which are closed. The checkpoint in the city of Sovetsk allows only pedestrians to cross the border due to the limited capacity of the Queen Louise Bridge, and vehicles can only enter Lithuania through the Chernyshevskoye checkpoint.
According to Russian customs officials, the capacity of the Chernyshevskoye checkpoint allows the passage of 150 vehicles per day in each direction. Lithuanian customs officials limit the entry of freight transport into the republic and record the entry of 30 to 80 trucks per day.
