According to the new law, Russian legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered with the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia will be entitled to engage in mining. Individuals will also be able to engage in mining without being registered, as long as they do not exceed the energy consumption limits set by the Russian government.
The Ministry of Digital Development will monitor the activities of miners, and Rosfinmonitoring and the Bank of Russia will receive information about mined digital currency and the addresses of the identifiers. The law also prohibits advertising of digital currency and defines persons who are prohibited from mining.
It should be noted that these measures are aimed at developing the cryptocurrency market in Russia while respecting the necessary rules and regulations.
