Ukraine continued its attacks on the Krasnodar region, with law enforcement officers detaining the deputy head of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Ukraine attacked the Kuban territory again.

Last week, Ukraine launched several attacks in the Krasnodar region using unmanned aerial vehicles.

On August 2, an electrical substation in the Tikhoretsky district was damaged as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles.

On the same day, a commercial building in the Starominsky district was damaged. This was announced by the district head Vladimir Gorb. No damage was done. The collapse and explosion caused a fire that was soon extinguished. Residents of eight nearby houses were evacuated to a hotel. Gorb promised to help repair the damaged buildings.

According to the Ministry of Defense, on August 2, air defense systems on duty intercepted four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the Krasnodar Territory.

Deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region was detained in Kuban

On August 1, it became known that investigators had detained the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Krasnodar Territory, Sergei Simonenko.

Two days later, information appeared that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit to recover the property of Simomnenko and his family. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 5, as follows from the files of the Krasnodar Regional Court.

It should be noted that the claim “for the foreclosure of property for the benefit of the state” of Simonenko and his relatives was filed by the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Anatoly Razinkin. The case went to court on July 18.

The amount of the claim against Simonenko is not listed in the case file.

On August 5, TASS, citing law enforcement sources, reported that the Basmanny Court in Moscow had taken Simonenko into custody. Earlier, the official was transferred from Krasnodar to Moscow.

TASS previously wrote that law enforcement officers found 250 million rubles, more than 50 real estate properties and more than 20 cars belonging to Simonenko and his family, including premium cars Zeekr, Lixiang L9, BMW X5, BMW X6. All this property was subject to a security arrest as part of a claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Simonenko has been serving as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations since October 2023.

Patrushev assessed the progress of the “garbage” reform in the Kuban

The indicators required to achieve the goals of the “garbage” reform in the Krasnodar Territory have not been met, the press service of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev reported on August 2.

It is noted that the region requires the introduction of additional capacity for the management of domestic solid waste.

“By 2030, 100% of the volume of MSW generated annually must be sorted and no more than half of it must be disposed of in a landfill. In the Krasnodar Territory, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources, the necessary indicators have not yet been met.”– said Patrushev.

Kuban ranks third in terms of birth rate in the Russian Federation

The Krasnodar Territory ranked third among Russian regions in terms of birth rate in the first five months of 2024, according to a Rosstat report.

The first and second places in the birth rate were occupied by Moscow and the Moscow region, with 48.6 thousand and 29.6 thousand people, respectively. In Kuban, 20.6 thousand babies were born.

At the same time, the birth rate in the Krasnodar Territory is higher than the Russian average and amounts to 8.5 per 1,000 people. On average, only 8.3 births are recorded per 1,000 inhabitants in the country.

The leader in the birth rate in the Russian Federation is the Chechen Republic, where there are 19.8 newborns per 1,000 people.

The grape harvest in Kuban started earlier than expected

Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev announced on August 3 that grape harvesting in the region will begin ahead of schedule in 2024.

“Last year, the start was in mid-August. More than 31,000 hectares remain to be cultivated, which is one third of all grape fields in the country.”said the head of the region.

According to him, there are 86 organizations and 147 peasant farms involved in the project in the Kuban.

The first to start harvesting grapes were in the Temryuk region, where the largest number of vineyards are located.

In total, the plan is to harvest at least 275 thousand tons of grapes this year. Two thirds of the vineyard area in the Krasnodar Territory is occupied by domestic seedlings.

A school under construction in Tbilisi caught fire

On July 31, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire in a school under construction in the village of Tbilisskaya. The fire spread to an area of ​​almost 2 thousand square meters. meters. The roof of the building caught fire.

50 specialists and 12 teams, as well as additional forces, were called to the scene of the fire.

No one was injured as a result of the fire. The fire was later extinguished.

The school with a capacity of 1,100 seats was to be opened by the end of 2024. According to the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, the emergency that occurred was due to a construction oversight.
