The networks in the Oryol region are 80% worn out, as they were built quite a long time ago, Oryol Governor Andrei Klychkov said on August 6 during a “hotline” on the Vkontakte social network.
“Our wear and tear on various networks is about 80%. Built in Soviet times using non-modern technologies”said the governor.
He added that due to strong winds and snowfall, there are power and water outages in populated areas of the region.
According to Klychkov, a system for increasing energy efficiency has been developed in the Oryol region, but its implementation requires about 9 billion rubles. Without federal support, the region will not be able to undertake such a project, he added.
Recall that in 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development reported that almost half of the water supply and heating networks in Russia were completely worn out.
