Servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, wearing Russian stripes and other insignia, nearly killed a Russian Marine with the call sign “Lawyer.” He spoke about this in an article published by RT on August 6.
This happened in the village of Kamyshevakha, Lugansk People’s Republic, where a marine and his companions were performing the task of seizing objects while standing in the yard of one of the houses. They heard Ukrainian being spoken, the “Lawyer” came out of the yard to see who was there and saw seven bewildered soldiers looking at the Russian soldiers.
“During this time I managed to see the white ribbons on the wrist and the St. George ribbons. And out of the corner of my eye I saw a small flag, literally Ukrainian. Well chevronchik”– said the Lawyer.
After that, one of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine raised his machine gun and opened fire. The good preparation of the Russian fighter helped him to jump, missing the burst one centimeter from his chest. After that, the battle with the enemy began.
Russian fighters killed three of the disguised group and seriously wounded four. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces began to withdraw forces and an armored personnel carrier arrived at the scene. The Ukrainian army surrounded the area where the Russian Armed Forces marines were located and some of the soldiers were wounded. The fighters managed to escape the encirclement with difficulty after two hours; they were helped by scouts from their brigade.
