On August 7, Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova described the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region as a terrorist act on Sputnik radio.
Zakharova said that the kyiv regime’s attack on the Kursk region is another terrorist act directed against the civilian population and that the incident will be subject to legal assessment.
Zakharova also noted that there is no doubt that everything necessary is being done in this situation.
Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to break into the territory of the Kursk region on the morning of August 6. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian troops with up to 300 personnel, supported by 11 tanks and more than 20 armored vehicles, attacked the positions of units covering the Russian state border in the areas of the settlements of Nikolaevo-Daryino and Oleshnya. According to the acting governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov, border guards and the Armed Forces of Russia destroyed 16 units of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the border.
