The situation in the Kursk region is under control and the evacuation of residents has been organised, the acting head of the region, Alexey Smirnov, announced this on his Telegram channel on 7 August.
According to him, the regional operational centre currently operates 24 hours a day in the region.
“The situation in the region is under control. We are organizing the relocation of residents from the bombed border areas, preparing temporary accommodation centers and providing them with everything they need, and psychologists are working.”– Smirnov said.
In addition, medical specialists from Moscow and St. Petersburg left for the region.
Smirnov also said that in the evening he briefed Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the operational situation in the Kursk region.
“Vladimir Vladimirovich is keeping the situation under personal control. The President stressed that support for our region will be provided in all spheres.”He concluded.
