The expansion of energy cooperation between Bulgaria and Greece is highlighted in the Greek media during Bulgarian President Rumen Radev’s visit to Athens on February 16, Bulgarian National Radio reports.
The energy partnership between Bulgaria and Greece broadens the scope of the interaction between the two countries with positive results for Europe, according to the first comments on the visit of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to Athens. He is currently meeting with the Greek Prime Minister, Kirikos Mitsotakis.
The Bulgarian head of state said in an interview that the signing of a memorandum on energy cooperation is “a decisive step in efforts to improve Europe’s energy security.”
Athens highly appreciates the plan to build an oil pipeline from Alexandroupolis to Burgas.
Afterwards, the Bulgarian President will also meet with the Greek Head of State, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
