On August 11, the Krasnodar Transport Investigation Department of the Western Interregional Transport Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched an investigation into the fact that a man was hit by a ship near the city of Sochi, the press service of the department reported.
The incident occurred on Saturday near the Mys Vidny beach in the Khostinsky district of the city. The boat driver was moving the boat at a dangerous distance and at excessive speed.
As a result, a man was hit by a car while swimming in the sea. After which the boat disappeared from the scene. The investigation is establishing the circumstances of the incident and the identity of the boat’s driver.
It should be noted that on Saturday there was also a water-related incident in St. Petersburg. The ship crashed into the cruiser Aurora, after which it fled the scene; the ship miraculously did not suffer any damage.
