There are already some 250,000 signatures in support of the referendum on the preservation of the Bulgarian lev, reports the Bulgarian National Radio on February 16.

In the last week alone 46,000 signatures have been collected, Vazrajdane party leader Kostadin Kostadinov said:
“The actual number of signatures in our opinion at this time is without assumptions, most likely closer to 300,000. quarter million. At this rate, we should have 600,000 signatures. Bulgaria is waking up now. We Bulgarians will defend our right to freedom and our right to choose. there will be a referendumKostadinov said.

The “dissidents” will demand a meeting with interim Prime Minister Galab Donev, where he will learn about the collected signatures and demand guarantees for a nationwide vote.
