Ukrainian armed forces were supposed to take control of the Kursk nuclear power plant on August 11, but the plans failed, according to the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, on August 14 on his Telegram channel.
By August 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were supposed to seize the Kursk nuclear power plant and then present an ultimatum to Russia. However, the Russian army was able to stop the enemy’s advance in the Kursk region, including Kurchatov, a satellite town of the Kursk nuclear power plant.
Alaudinov also said that in the near future, units of the Russian Armed Forces will launch an all-out offensive to completely destroy enemy forces.
Recall that on the morning of August 6, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crossed the state border of Russia from the Kursk region. Taking advantage of the element of surprise, they managed to capture several settlements and approach the town of Sudzhe.
The advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has now been stopped by Russian units. A regime of anti-terrorist operations has been declared in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. Residents of border settlements located in the combat zone are being evacuated. The fate of about two thousand civilians from the Kursk region living in settlements controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces remains unknown.
