An 11-year-old boy died this Sunday morning after being attacked with a sharp object in the town of Mocejón, Toledo, Spain, sources in the government delegation in Castilla-La Mancha told EFE, quoted by EFE El Mundo.
The crime took place at around 10 a.m. at the Angel Tardio multisports field, Castilla – La Mancha Media reports, quoted by Castilla – La Mancha Media. El Mundo.
The first information indicates that a man with a covered face approached and attacked a group that included an 11-year-old boy, who eventually died. The suspect then fled.
The child was rescued on the spot, but to no avail.
An operation involving dozens of agents is currently underway to apprehend the perpetrator of the crime. Authorities are currently searching for the suspect’s grey Ford Mondeo.
