The Kaliningrad military will receive training in piloting unmanned aerial vehicles and suicide drones under the guidance of instructors with combat experience, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on August 19.
“Staff receive training from experienced instructors who impart their knowledge on various types of drones.” – says the message.
It should be noted that military personnel first undergo training on a computer simulator before they are allowed to fly real drones after passing an exam.
Operators of attack UAVs also study blasting and manufacturing of improvised explosive devices, the principles of conducting aerial reconnaissance and additional reconnaissance of targets, escorting military columns, assault groups and adjusting artillery fire.
The Ministry of Defense said that candidates for the position of drone operator must have excellent vision, impeccable functioning of the vestibular system and high concentration.
