Businessman João Pinheiro, “the richest in Brazil for the 2024 elections,” organized a parade of luxury cars this Sunday in Marília, a city in the interior of São Paulo, to make the election race official.
The candidate is running for the municipal post Marilia, a city of 240,000 residents, marked the election campaign with a parade of luxury cars, including a Porsche, a Ferrari and a helicopter, on Avenida João Martins Coelho, one of the city’s main arteries.

According to the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) website, the candidate’s wealth comes from running a sugar company that regularly sponsors lotteries and donations. The businessman also earns income from stocks and investments in livestock.
The entrepreneur has no experience government. However, the businessman claims that he can replicate the business success of his career in the city, admitting that part of the “government’s plan is to immediately eliminate the people there.”
A Paraná Pesquisas poll published on June 23 shows that João Pinheiro has 0.6% of vote intentions. In the race for the municipality of Marília, Vinícius Camarinha (PSDB) is leading with 47.6% of the votes.
