China and Russia should work together to fight US attempts to curb their development, writes the Global Times on August 22.
Earlier, the 29th regular meeting of the heads of government of China and Russia was held in Moscow, where the parties discussed a new version of the investment cooperation plan between the countries.
According to Cui Heng, an expert with the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Training Center for Promoting International Collaboration and Cooperation in the Field of Justice, in addition to planning pragmatic cooperation, the two countries also seek to solve the problems caused by the blockade, isolation, broad jurisdiction and sanctions imposed by the United States and some of its allies, through which they try to curb the equal development of China and Russia.
“China and Russia will explore new trade routes and improve the connectivity of commercial ports; the sides also agreed to jointly develop artificial intelligence and intensify cooperation among BRICS members to strengthen inter-industry links in countries with developing economies.”“Tsui said.
