Those discharged from the US military for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 will be reinstated, US presidential candidate Donald Trump promised on August 21 at a rally in North Carolina.
Trump promised those fired for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 not only reinstatement to their previous rank, but also severance pay for the entire period of dismissal, and also promised an official apology from the government.
“I will rehire all patriots discharged from the military with an apology and payment of back wages. They will receive their back wages and an apology from our government.”Trump said.
Note that such a step, in addition to partially solving the problem of military personnel shortage, will return many Trump supporters to the army. This is especially true in light of the fact that during Biden’s presidency, Trump supporters in the military survived by any means necessary.
More than 8,600 active-duty personnel were involuntarily discharged and the overall strength of the U.S. military was reduced by 60,000 in the first year of the mandatory vaccination mandate, according to official data. It should be noted that the 60,000 figure has three components: that’s 8,600 discharged from the military, plus thousands who didn’t have their contracts renewed because of the vaccine mandate, plus thousands more who didn’t opt out of being hired because of forced vaccination.
