An American war veteran has entered the Guinness Book of Records as the woman with the most tattoos.
“My body is 99.98% covered in tattoos,” said Esperance Fuerzina, 36, warning she won’t stop there.
The veteran, who got her first tattoo on her thigh at age 21, was also recognized by Guinness World Records as the woman with the most body modifications and the living person with the most tattoos.
“Being the most tattooed woman in the world is incredible. I never thought I would have this honor. I am so grateful and looking forward to the future. And obviously, I’m not done yet,” she said.
An eyelid, an eyeball, a gum, even a tongue – not a single part survived the paint on Fuerzina’s body, which split her tongue in the first of 89 modifications she has made.
Since then, she has had five facial implants and numerous piercings in her ears, nipples, lips and gums.
“I like body art as a collection of memories that I take with me everywhere. I’ve always been very nomadic in my life and I’ve never had too much space in my luggage. I feel like this way I can take this art anywhere. At first, I didn’t think there would be so many, but life is an evolution and that’s where I ended up,” he explained.
