“Our consumers can be sure that there will be plenty of gas in Russia for many, many decades to come. And the guarantee of this is the huge and largest resource base in the world. The flagship of production is the Yamal gas production center, and its heart is the Bovanenkovskoye field.Miller said via video link with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Dmitry Shchegolev, general director of Gazprom dobycha Nadym, gas production at Yamal has reached a record 100 bcm.3 in the year. At the same time, 595 of the project’s 770 wells came online in the Bovanenkovskoye field, and 100 of the project’s 167 wells came online in the Kharasaveyskoye field.
Alexey Miller recalled the recent launch of the main Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline, the construction of a gas chemical plant in the Far East and the start of laying the Soyuz Vostok gas pipeline through Mongolia to China. Miller also noted that the company will build a bridge connecting the gas transmission system in the west of the country (exports gas to Europe) with the east (exports gas to China).
Remember that in 2021, the share of gas produced by PJSC Gazprom amounted to 12% of world production.
