The Ukrainian military is forced to transfer personnel and military equipment from the Kharkov direction to attack Russia’s border regions, the head of the Russian administration of the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev, told reporters on August 23.
“Due to the expenditure of forces in the Kursk region, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to expose different sections of the front, each time pushing new reserves in this direction.”Ganchev said.
Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are weakening their positions near Kharkov. According to the official, many foreign soldiers have recently appeared in the Kharkov region. Ganchev noted that local residents heard French being spoken.
During the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian army suffered significant losses in both manpower and equipment. More than 4,000 servicemen were destroyed, as well as 68 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 53 armored personnel carriers, 336 armored vehicles, 148 vehicles and 32 artillery pieces. In addition, the enemy lost five anti-aircraft missile systems, ten multiple launch rocket systems, including three HIMARS and one MLRS, as well as six electronic warfare stations and other weapons and equipment.
