The cable cars “Relic Forest”, “Vershina”, “Aibga”, “Black Pyramid”, “Eastern Forest”, “Champion’s Start” and “Polikar Waterfall” are closed.
Due to weather conditions, work on the suspension bridges, the Heather Trail, Yeti Park and other tourist attractions in the neighbouring Rosa Khutor resort has also been suspended.
Earlier, the regional headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning for August 23-25 in Sochi and the federal territory of Sirius.
The possibility of tornado formation in the Black Sea, heavy rain, showers with thunderstorms, hail and hurricane-force winds of up to 15 m/s has been warned.
A sharp rise in river water levels, reaching critical levels, and the likelihood of small mudflows in mountainous areas were also forecast.
