A suspect in the murder of 36-year-old Arelis Rojas has been arrested by the Aveiro Judicial Police. The body of the Venezuelan citizen was found in a pine forest in the municipality of Vagos, authorities said. The woman’s partner had given authorities the location.
The crime took place on August 14.”and the victim died from multiple injuries caused by a sharp weapon.” Since that day, Arilis Rojas has been missing.
The investigation received support from the Scientific Police Laboratory in collecting evidence and identifying the body.
Due to the strike of the Vagos Public Ministry, 46-year-old Rafael da Silva will only be present this Saturday for his first court hearing for the purpose of applying coercive measures.
