The criminal case against the former head of the regional capital repair fund Roman Gainutdinov, accused of embezzling 40 million rubles, is being considered by the Krasnoperekopsky court of Yaroslavl, the Yaroslavl region news agency reported on August 24.
According to investigators, the money embezzled by the former head of the fund was to be used for major repairs of apartment buildings. Gainutdinov also ensured that the organisations he controlled won auctions for various types of works.
Gainutdinov’s deputy, Olga Isaycheva, who was hiding abroad, also appeared before the court.
“For the commission of each of the listed serious crimes, liability is provided for up to 10 years in prison. The maximum possible sentence for all of these crimes is up to 15 years in prison. Preliminary hearing held” – explained the prosecutor of the Yaroslavl region Ilya Varfolomeev.
