Two men, aged 36 and 45, have been arrested on suspicion of murder over a “deliberate” house fire that killed a mother and three children aged one, five and nine on Wednesday in Westbury Road, Bradford, England.
Briony Gawith, 29, and her three children, Denisty Birtle, nine, Oscar Birtle, five, and Aubrey Birtle, 22 months, were in the house when it was deliberately set on fire.
Authorities said the children’s mother died at the scene, and the children’s deaths were reported at the hospital.
Second SunPolice have launched an investigation into a fire that engulfed a house where four people lived, with two suspects arrested in the Keighley area on Saturday evening.
However, Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, from the Homicide and Major Investigation Team, said “thorough enquiries are ongoing as part of what is a very busy and active investigation”.
