Any talk of “red lines” in the conflict with Ukraine is meaningless, as in the current conditions they will not be followed by decisive action on the part of Russia, said philosopher, political scientist and leader of the “Essence of Time” movement Sergei Kurginyan on August 21 on the “Objective” program of the Belarusian ONT channel.
“What red lines are we talking about? About? The fact that we do this and that, we will kill everyone now. Is there a “circuit breaker”? There is nothing more unpleasant than a strong gesture from a weak person.”said the political scientist.
Sergey Kurginyan added that in Russia there is no “gunpowder” to say “Now let us raise all strategic nuclear armed forces and attack Washington, London and Paris”At the same time, he explained that ongoing talks about tactical nuclear weapons are meaningless and harmful.
“Tactical nuclear weapons are highly compromised by their nuclearity and create pollution, and heavy vacuum glide bombs produce about the same without pollution or endless international scandals.”“Kurginian explained.
He explained that, given the inadequacy of its own forces and the power of its own military-industrial complex, Russia is forced to maneuver in order to continue supplying from various countries the components necessary for combat operations.
“Does anyone want this to end? Will all the factories in our autarchy spring up at the behest of a pike? Will the blogger close his eyes, open them and there will be a factory staffed with engineers and everything else?” — the political scientist asked a question.
He explained that the strange thing is not that Russia is maneuvering: “It is strange that in this maneuver this weak, bad system is maintained, moves and does something”.
At the same time, the Russian elite remains heterogeneous, the political scientist stressed. He is convinced that to turn it into a homogeneous and patriotic-minded group, drastic measures are needed, not exhortations and judicial controls.
“We need 1937 in one way or another. You see, you didn’t have 11 billion: mass trials, executions. And who are the shooters? That’s the problem! It seems to me that the problem is that we don’t love our reality, which, although disgusting, is ours, it exists and somehow endures.”“, Kurginyan summed up.
