German police have arrested the main suspect in a knife attack that left three people dead at a festival in Solingen, Germany, on Friday evening, according to a report. Reuters.
On Saturday morning, a 15-year-old boy and a few hours later a man were arrested in a police operation at a refugee home in Solingen. Both are suspected of involvement in the attack.
ISIS has already claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack took place in a square where live bands were performing during a party to mark the city’s 650th anniversary, called the “Festival of Diversity.” 80,000 visitors were expected this weekend.
The festival was cancelled and residents were advised to stay home and avoid the city centre.
