Tel Aviv authorities have prepared for possible missile attacks: they have opened all public shelters and closed all beaches in the city, the press service of the city municipality reported on August 25.
Tel Aviv has 240 public shelters in different areas of the city.
“Due to the evolving security situation in the north and by order of the Home Front Command, the municipality opened all public municipal shelters this morning.”reported the press service of the city council.
In addition, cultural institutions and beaches in the city are closed by order of the rear command.
“In addition, all municipal events that were scheduled for today in the city of Tel Aviv have been cancelled.”city officials said.
Recall that today, August 25, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced an attack on Israeli military targets in response to the killing of one of its top commanders, Fuad Shukr, in an IDF attack in southern Beirut. According to Hezbollah representatives, the first stage of the retaliatory operation has already been completed. 11 Israeli military installations, including barracks and headquarters, were hit.
In response, Israeli aircraft continue to attack targets in southern Lebanon, employing more than 100 fighter jets.
