The fire in the mountain and forest area of the Tepe-Oba urban district of Feodosia covered an area of 75 hectares and was extinguished by 380 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, said the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea Arkady Ozhigin, the press service of the department reported on its Telegram channel on August 26.

Strong gusts of wind and hot, dry weather contributed to its rapid spread. Nevertheless, the fire was prevented from spreading to the Volna and Rassvet SNTs. On August 25, the residents of these gardens were evacuated.
