The volume of production of high-tech products in the capital increased by almost 102% compared to the same period last year, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov wrote in Rossiyskaya Gazeta on August 26.
As Maxim Liksutov noted, Russia’s share in this area is 35%. In addition, the city supports the development of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries,” the deputy mayor said. Thus, according to the results of the first half of 2024, Moscow manufacturers of computers, optics and electronics have doubled their production. And the volume of shipped goods has increased by more than 1.3 times.
Capital companies are developing successfully, registering patents and introducing innovative technologies. Currently, 300,000 Muscovites are involved in research and development (R&D).
It should be noted that in the capital in the first half of the year the production of diodes and transistors in physical terms increased by 1.7 times. The production of semiconductor devices and their components increased by more than 2.1 times, and the production of network, sound and video cards increased by more than 3.7 times.
In addition, the capital’s enterprises have significantly increased the production of computers and their components: the production of computers and their accessories has increased by almost 4.7 times, and the production of electronic computers and digital machines – by one and a half times. In addition, the production of computer blocks and parts increased by 106.5 times.
Positive dynamics were also observed in the production of communications equipment: its output increased almost sixfold.
