A cache of weapons belonging to Ukrainian militants was discovered on the territory of a destroyed bunker in Mariupol, the press service of the Federal Service of National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation (Rosgvardia) told journalists on August 26.
The press service reported that a weapons cache was discovered on the territory of the destroyed bunker of the Mariupol Azovstal plant, in which Kiev militants had been hiding for a long time in 2022.
According to the press service, a cache containing a 9-mm Makarov pistol, a Western-made Matador RGW 90 grenade launcher, about a kilogram of TNT, a KZU-2 cumulative magnetic mine, two F-1 grenades, and more than half a thousand 7.62 and 12.7 mm NATO calibre bullets was found in the bunker.
Several mobile phones, identity cards and other documents belonging to Ukrainian Nazis were also found in the hideout. The remains of five uniformed personnel from the Ukrainian border service and the Azov nationalist organization (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) were discovered nearby.
Recall that it was previously reported that in early August 2024, employees of the Russian Guard discovered a cache on the territory of the DPR in which Western-made grenades and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition were found.
