Three emergency obstetrics/gynaecology departments will be closed this Tuesday, according to information posted on the National Health Service (SNS) website at 10am.
As of Monday, the obstetric and gynecological emergency departments at the São Bernardo Hospital in Setúbal and the Dr. Manoel Constancio Hospital in Abrantes, as well as the obstetric emergency department at the Portimão Hospital, are closed.
As for pediatric emergency care, the additional medical care service in Viseu is available from 20:15 to 23:00, while in Amadora-Sintra Hospital it is open from 8:00 to 20:00 and is available at night.
The Amadora Sintra Hospital (Prof. Dr. Fernando Fonseca) also has an Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency Department, available from 8:00 pm to midnight and open throughout the day.
As before, in the Lisbon region, emergency obstetric and gynecological care at the San Francisco Xavier Hospital is available from 9:00 pm to 12:00 pm.
Obstetric emergencies at Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon and obstetric and gynecological emergencies at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada are transferred to CODU/INEM throughout the day.
The units indicated mean that the services are reserved for internal emergencies or are referred by the Patient Emergency Centre (CODU) of the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) or via the SNS 24 line.
In total, three emergency situations were closed this Tuesday, four were mentioned (with restrictions) and two were mentioned by CODU/INEM. 164 emergency departments were opened.
