A period of peak traffic has begun at Sochi airport due to the increasing number of tourists trying to leave the Black Sea coast, Vesti Sochi portal reported on August 27.
It should be noted that the airport serves about 60 thousand passengers per day. Passengers are advised to arrive for check-in 3-4 hours before the scheduled departure time. This is necessary to carry out all pre-flight procedures in a calm environment.
Due to the increasing number of passengers, Sochi Airport has stepped up measures to ensure comfort and safety. Additional refrigeration units have been introduced and cleaning has been increased.
Let us recall that in August Sochi welcomed its five millionth tourist, while the occupancy rate of hotels, sanatoriums and boarding houses reached almost 92%. The peak traffic at the airport is expected to continue until October, given the start of the high season.
