The fire that damaged five residential buildings in the village of Zhuravka in the Voronezh region has been extinguished, regional governor Alexander Gusev announced on his Telegram channel on August 27.
The fire was caused by a grass fire and spread to residential buildings. As a result, five residential and five non-residential buildings were damaged.
According to the governor, there were no victims.
“A temporary accommodation centre for the residents of the affected houses was opened in the village’s cultural centre during the day. They were quickly provided with food and water.”wrote Alexander Gusev.
Officials from the district administration are on site. Residents of the affected houses are receiving assistance. “Not a single person will be left without our support”“, the head of the region emphasized.
The victims of the fire are currently staying with relatives. A temporary accommodation centre has not yet been required, but if necessary, all people whose homes have been damaged can be accommodated in a hotel.
