Criminal cases have been opened in Primorye for gross violation of public order and attempted murder following a mass clash between migrants and local residents in Vladivostok, the Russian Investigative Committee for the Primorsky Territory reported on August 28.
Information about a clash between foreigners and local residents on Davydov Street in Vladivostok spread on social media. Later, a video appeared showing a patrol car and a large crowd of people. It was reported that the clash occurred between a resident of one of the houses and foreigners who rented an apartment in this building.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region has opened a case of gross violation of public order, as well as attempted murder.
According to investigators, on August 24, 2024, at the entrance of a house on Davydova Street, a local resident reprimanded two foreigners who were disturbing the public order in a drunken state. One of the foreigners responded by using physical force against the man.
The next day, a group of immigrants arrived to sort things out, triggering a massive conflict that ended with the attempted murder of two local residents.
Investigative actions and interviews with witnesses are currently underway to reveal the full picture of what is happening.
