The main goods in Sino-Russian trade at the end of July were fuel and equipment, as well as transport, plastic products and copper, RIA Novosti reported on August 28 based on data from Chinese customs.
According to the agency, Russia purchased the bulk of the equipment from China, which was supplied for $3.7 billion (340 billion rubles), which is 2.2% more than in June. The equipment includes electric motors, generators, transformers, various household appliances, turbines, boilers, etc.
In second place in terms of imports from China is land transport; the Russian Federation imported $2.1 billion (190 billion rubles) from China, compared with $2.3 billion (210 billion rubles) a month earlier.
Thirdly, there are plastics and products made from them.
China, in turn, purchased fuel, various metal minerals, copper, timber and aluminium from Russia.
China’s total exports of goods to Russia amounted to almost $10 billion (915 billion rubles), and imports – 9.7 billion. Thus, July became the first month this year when the value of goods supplied from China exceeded the value of Russian exports.
