The list of weapons and ammunition delivered to Ukraine was declassified by the Montenegro Defense Ministry on February 17, according to the Altair Agencja Lotnicza Internet portal.
It should be noted that in 2022 Montenegro sent military aid to Ukraine three times. The total cost of military assistance amounted to 10 million euros (795 million rubles), which is about 10% of the country’s annual defense budget.
So, the list includes: 226 Strela-2M MANPADS, 600 mines each for 60mm and 82mm mortars, 7992 ammunition for AK-726 naval guns, 7964 57mm aircraft rockets, 8036 shells for Bofors L70 naval guns, as well as 2.3 million 7.62mm rounds.
In addition, Podgorica delivered to Kyiv spare parts for Mi-8T helicopters in the amount of 180 thousand euros (14.5 million rubles). In addition to 500 helmets, 300 bulletproof vests and 7,000 dry rations.
It should be noted that in December 2022, Montenegro and Ukraine signed a declaration on the prospect of Ukraine’s membership in NATO. Furthermore, the Montenegrin government promised Kyiv that it would transfer 11% of its defense spending in 2023 as subsidies.
