The regional authorities are planning to organize a business mission of Rostov region companies to India, Governor Vasily Golubev said on August 27 during the International Municipal Forum of BRICS countries, the governor’s press service reported.
Golubev met with the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum and Advisor to the Mayor of Moscow Leonid Tyagachev. During the meeting, plans for the development of the inter-municipal association of the BRICS countries were discussed.
“The head of the region spoke about the holding of the Rostov Region Days in China and announced plans to organize a trade mission of Rostov companies to India”the press service reported in a statement.

The Rostov region maintains cooperation with China, Iran, Ethiopia and develops trade relations with South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. In the first half of 2024, the region’s foreign trade turnover with the BRICS+ countries increased by 2.5%, exceeding $2 billion (185 billion rubles).
