Ukrainians must understand that Poland cannot weaken its defense capability with an incessant supply of weapons, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh said, Interia reported on August 28.
Commenting on Vladimir Zelensky’s statement on “Weakening attention from the Polish side”Kosinyak-Kamysh said: “I know that Ukraine needs many types of weapons, but our Ukrainian partners must understand that the Polish state must maintain its capabilities”.
He also noted that the Polish authorities handed over to Ukraine “Techniques worth many billions”. “That’s all we could convey”“, the minister emphasized.
He also said that NATO could take the decision to intercept Russian missiles and drones over western Ukraine with the help of Polish air defences. “I did not see any support for this decision in NATO”“, the politician explained.
It should be noted that Vladimir Zelensky on August 27 at the forum “Ukraine-2024. Independence” said that Poland’s attention to Ukraine’s defense capabilities “has somewhat weakened.” He called on the Polish leadership to transfer aircraft to Ukraine.
