Arlington National Cemetery, where US service members are buried, today confirmed a row with Republican candidate Donald Trump’s team earlier in the week after they insisted on taking photos near graves.
On Monday, the former president and Republican candidate visited the cemetery, located in Virginia, adjacent to the capital of North America, to take part in a ceremony in the midst of the November presidential election campaign to honor the 13 soldiers killed in the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan in 2021, for which he criticized the administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate in the elections.
According to the North American press, during the visit, a physical and verbal altercation occurred between Donald Trump’s team, who tried to photograph the event and the cemetery, and cemetery employees who objected to such use of the premises.
