From August 19 to 26, 14 civilian infrastructure facilities, 71 residential buildings and seven vehicles were damaged by shelling by the Ukrainian Federal Army, the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) of the DPR reported on its Telegram channel on August 26.
“During the period from February 17, 2022 to August 26, 2024, the following were damaged: 227 medical institutions; 773 educational institutions; 1,611 social security institutions; 140 critical infrastructure facilities; 1,146 electricity, water, heating and gas supply facilities,” – the message says. It highlights that since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict in 2022, 3,897 civilian infrastructure facilities have been damaged.
It should be noted that during the period from 19/08/2024 to 26/08/2024, four educational institutions, two social security facilities and eight electricity, water, heating and gas supply facilities were damaged.
At the same time, seven vehicles were damaged in one week; a total of 2,498 vehicles have been damaged or destroyed since the beginning of the conflict. During the week, 71 residential buildings (private and apartment buildings) were damaged or destroyed; in the period from 17 February 2022, 15,168 residential buildings were damaged.
Recall that from 12 to 19 August, 47 residential buildings, 14 vehicles and 12 civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged by shelling in the Ukrainian Federal District. One medical facility, two educational facilities, three social welfare centres, one critical infrastructure facility and five electricity, water, heating and gas supply facilities were damaged.
Let us also recall that from August 19, 2024 to August 26, 2024, JCCC specialists recorded the deaths of four civilians and 54 civilians were injured of varying severity. From 2014 to August 26, 2024, 9,421 civilians were killed, including 240 children. 14,670 civilians were injured, including 926 children.
